Vietnam
Southeast Asia's fastest-growing economy with extraordinary food, booming tech, and a cost of living that stretches every rupee further than almost anywhere else
Why Vietnam Works for Indian Students
Vietnam is one of the most exciting and affordable destinations for Indian students looking for genuine international experience. The cost of living is comparable to Indian metros, the tech and startup scene is booming, and the cultural warmth of Vietnamese people makes settling in much easier than you'd expect.
Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are buzzing with startups, international companies, and a young workforce (70% of the population is under 35). For Indian students, this means real professional exposure in marketing, tech, hospitality, and sustainability at a fraction of the cost of Singapore or Dubai.
The food is extraordinary and incredibly affordable. Street food culture here rivals India's own. You'll eat better for ₹200 a day than you would for ₹1,000 in Mumbai. Vietnamese cuisine is naturally rich in vegetarian options with tofu, vegetables, and rice-based dishes widely available.

Visa for Indian Passport Holders
Indian citizens need an e-Visa for Vietnam (90 days, single or multiple entry). Apply online at the Vietnam Immigration Portal for approximately ₹2,200. Processing takes 3 working days. For longer stays or paid internships, a business visa through the host company is available. We provide complete visa documentation guidance as part of the Full Service.
What You Should Know Before Applying
- The language barrier is real. Outside of international companies, English proficiency is lower than in Thailand or the Philippines. Learning basic Vietnamese phrases goes a long way.
- Traffic is intense. Ho Chi Minh City has 9 million motorbikes. Crossing the road is an acquired skill. Most interns adapt within a week.
- Some internships offer stipends. Vietnam has more companies willing to offer small stipends (₹7,000-20,000/month) or cover accommodation than destinations like Bali.
- Vegetarian food is available. Vietnamese cuisine has many naturally vegetarian dishes. Buddhist vegetarian restaurants (com chay) are everywhere. Indian restaurants exist in the main cities.
- The heat is no joke. April-August in the south hits 35-40C with high humidity. Plan around the cooler months (November-February) if you can.
