Visa situation for Indian passport holders
Good news: Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival in the UAE for 30 days (renewable once for another 30 days). For longer internships, your host company will typically sponsor a UAE residence visa or employment visa, this is standard practice and the company handles the process. Unlike Europe, you do not need to sort visa paperwork before arriving for short-term internships.
For internships 3 months or longer: the company should issue you a residence visa. Confirm this before accepting any offer. Do not intern on tourist status for extended periods.
Salary and cost of living (in INR)
Dubai salaries for interns are competitive by global standards. There is no income tax in the UAE, what you earn, you keep.
